"My great-grandmothers migrated from the South during the Jim Crow era in search of freedom and opportunity, not just for themselves but for every generation that would follow. Their courage is the reason I am able to stand where I stand today and even consider a future in law. As the first in my family to pursue law school, I know that the path I am walking was not built overnight. I joined this program because I want the guidance, community, and support to make it all the way through. I want to honor what my family sacrificed and show that their journey was worth every step."
